Is MTV Fear real or setup??

bah im watching it right now and it seems like the program at the safe house knows too much, it might be pre-scouted but I'm thinking its setup.

MTV pre-scouts the area and sets up cameras at key points, but other than that it's not setup. Those places are old so there's going to be a lot of creaking and squeaking etc, plus add the fact that they are dark and foreboding and you've got some scared kids

Of course it's setup, how do you think they get the cameras and the computer in there? It's not about it being real, it's just about seeing how people react to situations they perceive as scary. So they scout out these old asylums and factories, make sure most of the lights are turned out, then make the kids go out in the dark and scare the crap out of them. I think it's funny. You just know the producers have people hidden in the dark making noises.
