Is morpheus down?

For the past several days, I've been able to connect and search. But whenever I try to DL something, the status says FAILED.

Has this happened to anyone else?

nope but, but i have been getting a lot of more sources needed (damn file hiders) are you sure you are connected to a server with a lot of people? that might be why i get it where there is only like 29 people on the server that it knows

im having no problems just now, could it be an obscure firewall problem? i say obscure cos usually that would block all connections, not just file transfers...

Well, its worked before on the other computers on the network.

I'm behind a SMC Barricade Broadband Switch. I thought it could have been the firewall, but then it has worked before on other computers. Now it doesn't work on any computers.

Well, it's down for me too. Since this morning it says that the version I've got is too old and that I need to dl a new version to get access to the network, but I have the newest version (1.3.3). Anybody have any idea why it doesn't work?
I really want to get access again since I need my daily dose of more fansubs...

I've got the new version and when I try to download something, it starts to connect but then disappears from download screen. Anyone else have this happen? Also I noticed there isn't a way to select the type of media to search for (right?).

The new morpheus now uses the gnutella network instead of the fastrack/kazaa network.
It's basicly a rebranded version of gnucleus (gnucleus.net) with ad banners.

Just get Kazaa - read the install blurb and uncheck the optional software - it works very well - you probably won't notice the difference between Morpheus and Kazaa for function
