I know i don't have work, and i know the postal service doesn't work, but is it considered a national holiday? I'm leaning towards yes, but a friend of mine just said she has to work & does not get holiday pay?!?!?!

I have to go to school on Monday. Stupid Canadian universities.
But I never got this holiday off when I did my undergrad in Virginia, either, so whatever.

so then shouldn't all people that have to work get paid time & a half? anyone know the details?
No, but it means they're working Monday.Originally posted by: murphy55d
UPS says they "recognize but do not observe". Does that mean they are working tomorrow?
No. A company doesn't EVER have to let you have a day off.Originally posted by: scarfase99
