Is that why there is such a war on religion?(Specifically the Christians?)
Take some of the 10 commandments for instance:
3 You shall have no other gods before[a] me.
Progressives worship government as a god
15 You shall not steal.
Through taxation progressives steal "legally" from the citizens.
16 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbors house. You shall not covet your neighbors wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Progressives covet EVERYTHING and want it for themselves. It's not FAIR that someone has something.
From 2 Cor 9:
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.[a]
They do not freely give their own money, but want (through the use of force) everyone else to give.
1 Sam 8:3-5
But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice. 4So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5They said to him, You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to leadb us, such as all the other nations have.

1 Sam 8:11-18
He said, This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16Your male and female servants and the best of your cattlec and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.
Progressives want a king, an all powerful dictator and a tyranny of power, so long as they're the ones in power....
