Is 'Moderator' a more pretentious title than 'Admin'? or does it mean otherwise?

Do they really mean the same thing? Is an Admin someone who works under their own account name?

Moderator moderates.

I'd say moderator is a more pretentious title, since it implies a certain amount of kindergarten-style oversight and admonishment.

Admin sounds more like "just another job", power or no.
