Is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 a good game to buy?

I was just wondering cuz I really want the game but I dont want to pay 60bucks for it if its not going to be good so i want to ask you ATOT members if its a good game or does it suck...

ive never played it but my friend seems to like it. I think its for pretty hard core flight simulator fans so if your not one of them id pass.

Yea i think i woud like it because i like flying cuz i have acctually taken like 5 or 6 classes on real flyign like i have acctually flone ( spelling error) a plane and i like it so i think i might like it but is it as good as the other or is it crappy is what i really want to know

you never know, somehow, someday, the pilot might die and you'll have to take over.,. and then you'll remember what you learned in ms flight sim 04

I remember buying flight sim 2000 and the problem was that it wouldn't run smoothly even with the fastest computer on the market at the time. That's what gave it a bad review. If they've fixed that problem then it's fun. Just make sure you get one of those throttle things to really use the game to its potential.

OMG this game is amazing!!! I got it the day is came out. I'm running a P4 2.4Ghz with 512MB RAM and a GF4ti4600. I can get decent framerates out of the game with all the detail up at 1024x768. Anything more than that with the detail all the way up gets under 20FPS and that's not acceptable.

It is a good game, and well worth the money! Big improvements in FS2000 IMHO.

Isnt 2004 some sort of anniversary edition? if you're the flyboy type... i guess you just have to have it.

Yes, it's the Century of Flight version commemorating....yep, you guessed it, the last century of flight.

it's a very good flight simulator, better than 2002, but it's definitely not a game.

I enjoyed the scenery in the game, but it gets a bit boring. Especially on oversea's trips (even with the acceleration).
