Is Miami really like Vice City?

Does it really look like that? I have so wanted to visit Miami after playing that game.

Considering the game was set in the eighties... it would look considerably different now.

I was in Miami in 1988 (80's craze was almost over) and it looked like the game.. Everyone wore pink and most clothes had some flourescent flair. Most sports cars were red. There were arcade machines everywhere I went. Also, the cool mall in the game that has a parking garage on top exists. It was a neato mall. It even had trees planted on the roof up about 5 stories. However, when I was there, only the first two floors had stores and the upper 3 were vacant.

However, the game makes Miami streets look relatively clean (probby too many resources to have it render garbage blowing around) but it was dirty as hell in 88'.


Miami sucks.
