Anyone know how much it costs? Did EA lower it to 20 bucks to match ESPN's football?
Nope. Still $50. I won't be getting it. 2k5 is a great game and it was only $20.
Then Sega's plan has worked!
I agree though, 2k5 is a great game (other than the sometimes bizarre method it uses to call pass interference, but, I guess maybe that's pretty similar to actual NFL refs' methodology too)
2k5's gameplay is much more offense-focused than last year, and it's close to where Madden was last year in terms of gameplay. Madden, on the other hand, will be more defense oriented. I don't believe gameplay on either will be significantly better (since it's already very good), I think that just the balance between offense and defense will change, and I would like a defensive game, personally.
So, while $20 is nice for a game, I will probably end up picking up Madden 2005 since, in my opinion, I already played 2k5 last year, when it was called Madden 2004. As for those of you that will say, "but the presentation is better!", I don't care about presentation. I care about how the game will play.
