is lowering my voltage gonna hurt anything?

I have an EPOX MVP3G-5 and an AMD K6-III+ 450@570 (95 X 6.0) and i had the voltage at stock 2.0.. then i lowered it to 1.8.. and there were no performance problems. the temps went down a lot though. has anyone else dont this? is it worth it?
 
Shouldn't cause any problem's as long as its stable at that voltage and it doesn't randomly lock up. All good, no bad.
