I was just reading The Art of Love by Eric Fromm and I was curious whether love is now nothing more than a commodity. I've heard of the free love of the '60s and it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps it is a fungible commodity.
So has feminism brought romantic love to its deathbed? Are "buyers" of love so competitive, it's overvalued? Can you get a greater return on investment in a computer or a car? What of Bill Clinton's opportunity cost?
