hmm... ok... so i installed Redhat 7 on my machine... The installation was surprisingly smooth using only the 2 floppies to download and install redhat... quite amazing..
All hardware was auto-detected and worked right off-the-bat....
but the thing still is that i found it hard to install games/software etc... no nice installer etc..(i know i sound like a linux newbie.. ok..
and yeah.. my win98se works really fine...doesn't crash etc... and i used it for all sorts of shell replacements, webpage designing, surfing, games,, all sorts of nice freeware software...
so do you people think linux is worth the hassle.. for a home user...?
