is lightscribe worth it

I am thinking of getting HP Lightscribe 640I but am hearing some bad things about it. Is it worth getting? Should i go with something else?

I personally don't think it's worth it. Don't you have to buy lightscribe discs if you want to use that feature?

It is interesting, but yes you need lightscribe disks for it to work.

I have read that they are all flakey right now on the drawing of the cover/top. Some have been having problems getting to the advertised speed of write/rewrites also.

So what would be good to get. I am looking for something fast. Combo CD/ DVD R-RW

Had the IT guy ordered one after I screwed my NEC with a firmware update. I'll let you know.
