I've heard that it is Grey Goose as well. I did a side by side comparison and my results were inconclusive. What I do know is that they are both excellent vodkas that I enjoy drinking with no chaser. Actually, I drink Smirnoff straight as well, so maybe I'm not a good example.

Mythbusters tested this! If your taste buds are good for liquor it's busted.

If you're mixing the vodka there's no reason to be buying expensive stuff.
If you're drinking it neat then drink whatever tastes best to you : ).

Hangovers from cheap liquors arent worth the cost savings.

I've heard this as well. It came up at a party two weekends ago when we were drinking Kirkland "craft brews." They were pretty damn good. Someone knew someone that worked for whomever makes Grey Goose, that person said the same stuff is bottled at Kirkland. I took it with a grain of salt, but have since heard the same thing, and then read it here. And you know that if you read it on ATOT, it must be true.

Let me clarify:
10 shots of Popov: Woah, I feel like shit the next morning!
10 shots of Grey Goose: Wee, I feel fine this morning!

Yeah, good quality vodka does not give you a hangover. I tried Kirkland and it was just as smooth as Grey Goose.

That's a bunch of crap. If you're not hungover the next day, you simply didn't drink enough of it. If you're drinking Aristocrat or something foul like that, you turn the bottle up because it's only a few bucks, right...? But for Grey Goose or Ketel One..... "Oh no! This stuff is expensive....it's a a sipping vodka!" That's the attitude they have an that's why they don't get hangovers....they're not big enough drunks.
