i am thinking of upgrading my PC memory to 256MB and cnet.com recommended kingston.

is Kinston a reliable memory chipmaker?

appreciate some expert advice on this.

Kingston, Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair. All good brands. Just stay away from generic house brands.

I just bought some Kingston pc1066 32ns rambus which was sold under the Muskin brandname which I have running at a 150 fsb @ 4X. Have not tried higher yet. Not too bad if I must say so myself. This is the first time I have bought Kingston so as durability goes I can't say yet, but it does come with a lifetime garauntee if that means anything to you.

I have Kingston RAM in all my systems (check rigs below), because they are quality low cost memory.
They usually use infineon chips.
