Is Kingston HyperX very good?

My situation:

I currently have a single stick of Corsair 256mb XMS2700C2 in my nForce 2 system. I want the following things:

-512mb's of RAM
-Run in Dual Channel
-Run at 2-2-2-6 @ up to 333mhz (I'll really only be at 266mhz now, but I plan to get a Barton later)
-Overclocking does NOT matter!
-Stability is VERY important to me!

Obviously, my system currently doesn't meet the first two requirements. I thought my XMS2700C2 was stable at 2-2-2-6...it worked fine for about 2 months...but I hadn't done any major testing. However, I found last weekend that Tribes 2 would UE after about 2 hours (a particular crash this game is known for), and after I lowered the timings to SPD settings (2-3-3-6), it ran fine. SO, my XMS isn't even handling the timings I desire either :(

I won't be OC'ing, so that doesn't matter. I always run at stock settings, but with the most aggressive BIOS settings possible. Stability is my highest priority.

So, I was going to get a TWINX pack of Corsair 256mb XMS2700LL, which would be 512mb's at 2-2-2-5 at 333mhz, and so it'd meet my requirements. However, that Corsair costs $139. I've heard a bit about Kingston HyperX. I checked out their prices, and I can get two Kingston 256mb HyperX PC2700 CL2-2-2-5-1T sticks of memory for $88 total ($44 each). That's a LOT cheaper, and I could even get two 256mb HyperX PC3000 CL2-2-2-5-1T sticks for $98.
---------------------------------
The Questions:
That's a lot cheaper than the Corsair TWINX, it matches the Corsair's specs, and it meets all my requirements. All I'm worried about is the stability, especially at 2-2-2-6 at up to 333mhz. Can I trust it? Does anyone have any info or links to reviews (good or bad) of Kingston's HyperX memory?

From what I have heard, it is absolutly great. I remember reading on a few sites that it actually could attain more aggresive timings than Corsair XMS memory.

You should definitely be fine at stock speeds and tight timings, I currently have my mem at 2-2-2-6 @ 210, and many people have had similar results.

Awesome! A friend sent offered to sell me his PNY GF4 Ti 4600 for only $100 as soon as his new 9800 Pro arrives in about 2 weeks. I could either get that and put my current Ti 4200 in my other rig, which has a mere GF2 GTS (pitiful for its XP 1600+), or I could get the Corsair TWINX. Now I may be able to afford both the RAM and the videocard.

Keep the opinions and/or reviews coming :)

I just built a system for a friend that used this same ram, at the same config you are shooting for.

The MB I used was the Epox 8RDA+

After one RMA on the board... all was good.

Epox 8RDA+ (of course)
2100+
IBM 60 7200
2 sticks of Kingston Hyper X PC2700
GeForce 3 Gainward Ti-200 128mb
Lite-On DVD
Lite-ON 52x24x52
XP Pro
Maxtop case w/Q-Max PSU (Very surprising)

All of this is available on NewEgg.com

9.5 x 182 for 2100+ (no voltage bump)
6-2-2-2.5 ram timings
Note: Ram settings are at 100% in the bios....

I had it going at 192... but with one app.... it would crash... fine except fpr that... so I went to 182 for stability for the guy.

Just a question though. Which is better Kingston HyperX PC3000 or PC3200 to go along with a nForce2 mobo?

I'm not sure kingston makes hyperx pc3200, I would just go with the pc3000, I'm almost positive you'll be able to get at least 200fsb out of the pc3000

I wouldn't Promise 200FSB with the Kingston HyperX 3000 as I've had a few sticks that wouldn't hit it so YMMV...don't get me wrong as I've had some that hit it as well and that's not within it's Specs.

I'm sure most sticks can hit at least 200, just remember to use the rated timings, 2-3-3-6, or lower. It wouldn't work stable on my system at high timings, which I don't have a problem with :)
