Is Kingmax RAM any good?

The one set of kingmax dc pc3200 I tried a couple of years ago generated numerous memtest errors with either stick and no matter what timings/voltages I set.

Running Kingmax DDR3500 on an Opteron 144 for well over 2 years without a hitch. I'd like a heatspreader on the chips but otherwise no complaints.

If it's $5 more for a Crucial stick then the answer is "hell yeah". Crucial have a lifetime warranty, quality memory and good customer service in my experience. We use them in work and after hundreds of orders still haven't had bad service or any problems.

Depends on where you are... in taiwan, kingmax is huge.. they have huge building posters like the one you see in time square... i had no problems with their stuff so far.. but i do not own that many...
