I think he is because he's essentially just like Batman, who is a super hero. They both rely on gadgets and some superior abilities (but not supernatural) to handle any situation. Neither of them possess a super power. So if Batman is a super hero, then so is James Bond.

i don't follow comics or anything so I have no idea.

Batman does it because he's a bad-ass and an upstanding citizen. Bond does it because he likes state-sponsored vacations with free rentals, lodging, booze & poon.

I say NO.

Absolutely not. Alfred is more of a superhero than Bond could ever be, not to mention Batman himself.

Bond also doesn't server the common good, he is a paid agent of a government who fights for that nation's interest. He is more like Rambo than Batman, and Rambo is not a super hero. Or is he? He does have action figures..

interesting question.

While Bond isn't the vigilante Batman is, that isn't a requirement for being a superhero. He's still a badass that can take on any situation. And whether his money comes from the gov or not shouldn't matter. I think Bond certainly has more fun that Batman, he definitely gets more women ;)

negative - bond is a government agent and only a government agent.

batman is bruce wayne in his off time. batman also has his own gear (it's not issued to him). batman is the world's greatest detective. batman deals with supervillains who are not necessarily human. batman is a part of the justice league.

the fact that bond does it as his job for $$ and batman does it because it's the right thing to do make bond not a super hero and batman a super hero.

Maybe Bond isn't a superhero, but I think he could take Batman in a no-holds-barred fight.

Well, he is a "Super Man" in a Freudian sence:

- He knows everything
- He's irresistible to women
- He has the ability to obtain anything

etc.

I'd say yes, he is.

Exactly

James Bond would not last half of a second in a fight with Batman.
