Lots of beer fans look down on it, but I genuinely enjoy it. It's refreshing, I like the taste, and it's nice to relax with a cold can and a video game at the end of a long week.
Its not beer, its lager. and its not very good lager.
Theres nothing wrong with enjoying a particular flavor.
HOWEVER, I should point out that from my love of Coke I have now spawned diabetes. So, think about that.
Sometimes your tastebuds are your worst enemies.
i admit that, after drinking a river of bud, i jumped on the hate-bud bandwagon, because i wasn't thinking for myself.
I then went on The Yong Man' Journey of Craft Beer Discovery (which took me a few years and made me discover many good beers) and i was drinking a Asahi and noticed it was brewed with rice, and it tasted .. uh.. suspiciously like bud.
I grabbed a friend and asked them if they like bud, they went into that typical "it's piss masquerading as beer" tirade, then i asked them if they liked Asahi, and they said oh yes, that crisp refreshing dry taste. Then i had the guy taste them side by side.
Today i prefer drinking modern british IPA, like Bredog Punk IPA, and Williams Bros Caesar Augustus, which i think are two absolute masterpieces of beer, but they *are* very strong tasting, and when i just want a glass of beer with a meal, i'll have something easier to drink, and Budweiser is always a top choice. I just wish they had the 5% version outside of the US, here it's only 4.7%
I am not a fan. I'll happily drink cheap beer but I want beer to taste at least a bit beery.
I grew up drinking ales and bitters and I've always wanted my beer to taste of something at least.
Bud lite is probably the only beer where I've not been able to get through the bottle, I kinda got bored of it put it down and forgot about it, then wandered off and found something equally cheap but with taste.

can someone explain to me what the deal is with PBR ?? Is it some weird American joke that i have too much free healthcare to understand??
on one side you got people saying PBR is terrible, on the other people who have sworn a life-oath to it. Or are they just trolling?
brett_kavanaugh_i_like_beer.jpg but beer is beer, you just have a beer when you're thirsty and you have a whole bunch of beers when you want to party. It doesn't really matter that much what beers you have in either scenario.
When i was young, i would drink almost nothing if not Guinness. I've had so much Guinness. I had all the Guinness. All of it.
i love the aforementioned Brewdog Punk IPA and William Bros Caesar Augustus.
I really loved Samuel Adams Winter Lager and was happy to drink all the S.A. seasonal brews when i was in Beantown.
Young's used to make a beer called Champion (NOT McEwans), very sadly discontinued, that was absolutely amazing.
I like to drink a nice cold Peroni when i'm home. NOT a Nastro Azzurro (by Peroni) but an actual Peroni. I dont really like Baffo D'Oro. Ichnusa is okaish.
i'm happy to drink Bud or even Coors, not happy to drink any -Lite beer, MGD, or Rolling Rock. I'd have a big Colt 45 any day.
i dont particularly like Henineken, or Kronenburgh, Fosters, etc, but i will have Dos Equis, Corona, with lime when i'm in Mexico, or Red Stripe when in Jamaica. I like to drink local beers when i travel.
I dont particularly like Trappiste beers; Delirium Tremens, La Trappe, Chimay, etc all that stuff is too strong in taste to go with anything, except
Chimay blue paired with Lindt Lindor red
For the same reason i dont like most ales - too strong taste, and not enough bubbles.
Here in the UK they like to think of themselves as a beer mecca, but the reality is that you go to the supermarket and they have a ton of unknown microbrands (that will vanish in a year or two) that make beers that are too badly balanced in flavour to even be classed as beer.
Ale is just nasty. Warm, flat beer that overcompensates by adding too much cereals to the mix. It's just a badly smelling brown alcoholic soup, that's what it is.
Beer neeeds to be refreshing, crisp, palate-cleansing, with a hint of dry bitter taste and a slightly hoppy, heady foam. if it's not, i'd rather drink water.
I consider Yuengling to be the baseline of commodity mass produced beer. It has the minimum requirements to be worth drinking. Budweiser hasn't matched that level.
I like Bud. That's what my dad drank on weekends after exhausting week of work. Couple years ago I switched to Coors Lite. That's what I drink at home when I want a beer. My wife and I both like Coors Lite. We don't care what other people think. We drink what we like. But when we travel, we drink the local beer. We're not a fan of dark bitter beers.

I'll drink Bud. There is nothing like an ice cold lager on a hot day. I would drink Michelob if I could find it around here.
I've tried a million craft beers and maybe Really liked 3 out of all of them. They all seem bitter or way to filling. Craft brew is like trying to hard to be different.
Really, someone somewhere is going to tell you how bad (insert beverage here) is and you should switch to (insert another beverage here) because that's what they like.

I dislike all beers from big consumer brands like Bud to craft beers, except Guinness. For some reason a freshly poured Guinness is really really good. Otherwise it's all about spirits and cocktails!!

Not at all and I am prepared to get my ass kicked.
I prefer Bud Light, that is my go to beer. I really haven’t found a craft beer or high end beer that I enjoy.
I like the blandness of bud light for some unknown reason.
