Is It Worth Waiting For The New GPUs?

do any of you think that it is worth waiting for the new nvidia cards, soon to arrive, or new ati cards? in turn, wouldnt the prices of all the high end cards that right now cost $400+ be lowered to somewhere near the $250-$390?

so is it worth the wait... or the money...
 
It is worth waiting a week when the G70 comes out at the very least. That should drive prices down some on the 6800's. ATI's 520 is looking delayed toward the end of summer so it becomes a question of how long to wait versus need right now. I would definitely wait about a month and reaccess
 
Question, do you think they will release a geforce 7600 gt soon after the 7800 is released? Kinda like a new version of the 6600gt.
 
It depends on how like you want to wait. Most of the current cards can be had well below MSRP. That will likely not be the case for some time with the new cards. Newegg will price gouge like crazy, and I have serious doubts any will be on CompUSA shelves for some time.

But here is hoping I am wrong, and they are widely available, and priced right.
