Yea, ok, forget, it. Poor risk/reward here. The PC is fine, I figured if it was cheap and easy, I'd toss some money at it. The PC works fine for my basic home needs, and if I am getting into $150 for a MB/CPU, it's not even worth it. I will just milk this current setup as long as it makes sense. Thanks for the tips.

Win10 not remotely on my radar.
I plan to stay in Win7 indefinitely.

Got 2GB of DDR3 for $13 and got my PC up to 8GB.

Why not upgrade to FX-6100 (previous of FX-6300). Lots of good deals on used lately on eBay.
