Is it worth the upgrade?

I built myself a new machine new machine there last month. A amd 2600+ with 333mhz fsb. I put this on a Abit KD 400 motherboard which supports this 333mhz fsb.

Just wondering would I be better off buying a nforce 2 Ultra 400 board and swapping over to it or I would I realy notice the difference.

I'm prob better of waiting for the next gen or motherboards and procs anyway.

Rig is for playing games.

Just wait for the next generation stuff. You might see a few percent difference, but just changing the motherboard really won't be that different, and even moving up to a 400MHz bus Athlon would'nt change much.

No big deal. Your rig should be plenty fast for a while.

You would be more able to overclock (due to PCI/AGP lock), but your RAM might hold you back on that anyway, so just leave it until the Hammer/Prescott.
