Is it worth putting more ram in this laptop?

Don't misunderstand me, I've added ram to systems before and dealt with the results, but right now I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth the $80-$100 to add ram to this laptop:

Toshiba Satellite M40,
Pentium M 1.73Ghz Processor(Pentium M740),
(according to Cpu-Z program)
Chipset: Intel i915PM/GM Rev.03, Southbridge: 82801FBM(ICH6-M),
Memory: Kingston PC2700 DDR 333Mhz 2 sticks each 256MB.
the current mainboard ram settings are:
FSBRAM 4:5, CAS#2.5, RAS# to CAS# Delay 3,
RAS# Precharge 3, Tras 7(none of that is user adjustable)
My 3d Hardware is an ATI Radeon x600 with 64MB of VRAM
HD: 80GB 5400RPM's

I plan on replacing one 256MB stick with a 1GB stick, but I can't decide if the performance boost will be worth it all.
I use the laptop for the usual stuff(web browsing etc.) but I also like playing 3d games, the main problem with games though is they take to long to load, It's a dumb question but does anyone think adding the ram will boost my 3d performance a bit?

Thanks.

You'll definitely see a nice improvement over using only 512MB of RAM. Adding RAM will help with playing games; once you have 1GB of RAM, the bottleneck will shift drastically to the GPU (which is on the low end of the spectrum).

I would just get whatever is compatible. I've always added Crucial to my laptops and they've been great. When it comes to my desktops, I usually buy what's cheapest though.

(not to go behind his back but...)An OCZ tech told me that the PC3200 version of this chip is believed to be more compatible with other brands of modules(a concern because I have kingston ram in my laptop) but the PC2700 module should work. Is that something I should be concerned about? or is there a big chance of compatibility problems? If I buy a module I can't return it since it's covered by the manufacture.
