Is it worth paying the extra $$?

Im currently using my onboard sound on my asus a8n-e motherboard , i was planning to get an audigy 2 zs off ebay for $110aus , is it worth paying the extra $60 and getting an x-fi extreme music?

According to the forum rules, you can only bump your own thread once every FOUR hours.

And to your question, it'll be worth it if you have good speakers. If not, don't bother.

you should've just edited it if it wasn't four hours yet, given that no one has posted.

dunno much about that headset, most likely won't make a difference unless you have really good ears. I could be wrong, so listen to a few other people.

wafflesandsyrup posted 😛 and thanks for the input =) my friend has a audigy 2 zs and its nice, but alot of ppl have been saying the x-fi is good.. but the extreme music seems to be the budget end.

Yes, it's worth paying a little more. It supposedly rocks using headphones(being a gamer) and newer games, ie. BF2 are optimized for the X-Fi

Coz the only thing that concerns me is that for example in 3d cards , the ti 4200 which was a high end geforce 4 , was alot better than the fx5200 which was the low end fx..

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering the same thing. What are some relatively cheap speakers that take advantage of this X-Fi card?

I'm thinking of going from the ZS Value to the cheapest version of this X-Fi. The difference is about ~$80 CAD.

Thanks,
~IG

dont get too serious on correcting every mistake people do, theres a lot of them. addressing the bumping rule is fine. dont need to be breathing down his neck about it.
