Is it worth it to switch over to Cingular from Sprint PCS?

I was watching TV today, when I saw Cingular's commericial for their new roll over minutes. I currently have SprintPCS, and although I know I won't get as good a deal on minutes as I would with Cingular, but would it be worth it to switch over just for their roll over feature?

Who here is currently using Cingular and their roll over feature? Like it?

I've always used Cingular and don't have any issues with them. Since I don't have another service to really compare them to, I can say at least that Cingular doesn't suck. Hope that helps. :)

Cingular has overall crappy coverage compared to other services (at least here on the East Coast - it just sucks) so check the maps before you commit.

i thought rollover minutes only applied to cingular home plans that were 39.99 and above

it does not apply to me :(

i have cingular nation 250 mins and the service isnt bad but i have nothing to compare it to though

IIRC Cingular is supposed to be pretty good in Austin (Elemental007 has it I think) - as long as you're not in SoCal you should be ok

rollover minutes are only on the local plans, not the nationwide i believe. so if you have sprint nationwide you'd be taking a hit. and as somone mentioned before there is a minumum plan.

you should call sprint and say you will cancel because the rates are not competetive....there is a thread in HD with more information about this. I did this last week and got my plan upgraded to 650 daytime/3000 night and weekend for $35/month.

Reception is spotty in south sacramento, but if you're in a place where reception is good, then go for it

I live smack in the middle of Los Angeles and my neighbor has NO problems with Cingular.
He gets full coverage inside the apartment complex while I get crap on my Sprint.
Overall voice quality is good too.

Chicago - Cingular sucks here. Downtown and suburbs. I don't know if I get rollover minutes or not, because it doesn't matter. I can't get decent reception to use my minutes anyway.
