Is it worth it to pay for the extended ipod support.

Well my first Ipod the screen went after 6 months, then the battery barely held a charge on the replacement model after 1 yr. Just received the new replacement (looked brand new btw) but the screen kept fading out unless I pushed on the LCD. So now I'm waiting for them to replace the replacement.

There are some quality control issues with the Ipod (i.e. made in China) so I think $60 might be worth it...if you've got anything over a 30gb model. At the very least you can send it in for a battery replacement near the end of the two year period and they'll send you back one that will look like it's fresh out of the box. After nearly two years of use you can pretty much guarantee the battery will be almost shot.
