What does the corrolation between a Graphics card upgrade and your TFT (LCD is Liquid crystal Display, but TFT is Thin Film Transfer which is what it actually is) monitor? I don't quite get your question, you are going to get a performance boost by upgrading but how does the monitor factor in?

if your monitor has DVI and the card you want has DVI than yes

if no DVI than you can at least run at 1024x768 w/ 4X FSAA and AF pretty well right?

i have a radeon 8500 on my 15" LCD and it suits it fine though I'm looking at a 20" LCD before I get any video card upgrade

edit: AI42 15" LCD will only do 1024x768 max so he's wondering if it is worth it to get the GF4 if he can only run a max of 1024x768

15" LCD's run optimally at 1024x768 . IMHO there is need to drop the cash if you monitor can't scale up in resolution to take advantage of the video card. This is also one reason I still have a GF3 on my secondary rig using a 15" LCD.

i am thinking the same thing, i just got a 15'' TFT screen, pretty good as well with a 25ms response time i dont notice any of the blurring any more as my eyes have got used to it,i love it!

i think it will be worth getting a geforce 4 with a TFt monitor as when games like unreal tournament 2003 comes out which is pretty soon you wont be able to get good frame rates at higher resolutions anyway, i say get one, a geforce 4 will probably be better with UT2003 but you can pick up a radeon 8500 for under 100 dollars nowadays on the forums
