Is it worth it to call AT&T to get a lower bill?

So I share a bill with my parents that I pay, and last month my mom lent out and racked up our bill to $310.

Our contract is now month to month so we can leave at any time--so would it be effective to try to call them and get a reduction on the bill and use that as a ploy?

Lent out what? Her phone to someone else?

It might be worth trying. The worst they can say is no.

How does this even happen? Does she not understand her rate plan or did she get carried away talking to relatives?

Take your parents off your plan, that's just stupid. Tell that woman to use phone cards if she can't stop talking to her relatives on the other side of the planet.

She was visiting from Vietnam and didn't understand that you have to pay for incoming calls on this side of the world.
