Is it worth it...Speedbooster vs Normal wireless G

Pretty much my question is the title. Is there a noticeable difference between the 2 routers? And is the worth the extra 20-30 bucks?

TY!!!

It depends on you, and what ever you are doing with your system.

What is worth to one might not be worth to the other.

If you plan on using Hacked firmware then go with the Speedbooster. The hardware itself has 2x the RAM and can support a few firmware revs that the other cannot.

matermoh, Speedboster is non-standard marketing garbage, not worth a penny.

However, if we're talking about Linksys products, they recently cost optimized their equipment so the new WRT54Gv5 won't run either the old (mature) firmware, or any of the third-party firmware. The new WRT54GSv4 has as much RAM/flash as the WRT54Gv4 and older used to have, and so think of it as the baseline model. It would not at all surprise me if the end game here is that the WRT54G falls to a new lower price point while the WRT54GS occupies the price point it used to have, which is okay, but at this particular moment you have to pay more to get less, always an attractive proposition. Thanks, Linksys!
