Is it worth hooking up a 5BNC-HD15 cable to my sony Monitors???

I use the standard cables for both my sony monitors. Is it worth hooking up a 5BNC-HD15 cable to my monitors.

Sometimes with my standard cabling my monitor flickers a different shade which has something to do with the connection on the back of the monitor because if I jiggle it the problem is solved. This would be the main reason I'd go for the BNC cables & If it improves the picture quality it would be an added bonus.

I just got a LG Electronics 915FT monitor and a DSUB to BNC cable. I set the resolution to 1920x1440 and swapped the cables back and forth (the monitor came with the thickest VGA cable I have ever seen). To be honest, I am hard pressed to tell the difference between the two, but maybe I don't know what to look for. You will loose you plug&play feature of your monitor, unless you have a USB connection to the monitor like mine.
