Is it worth getting Sirius radio?

i like mine alot but for some reason if im under an awning like at a bank or somewhere like that, even the slightest cover it cuts out...not sure if anybody has this problem besides me but its very frustrating!

The guy claims it was a display model and has always had lifetime subscription. Should I be worried of it getting cut off at some point?
