Is it worth an extra $50 for epox 8K3a+ over KR7ARAiD?

I have a xtremeddr 2700 athlon xp1600...Would like to overclock the fsb to somewhere in the field of 155-166? I ordered both board but i'm going to return one of them. Is the abit capable of overclocking to this fsb? my athlonxp is locked at 10.5....Is it worth the extra $50 for the epox? Do you really gain a noticable performance difference (real life, no benchmark) between the two boards?

Epox will keep the pci and AGP in spec while at 166 but you have to have a CPU capable of hitting that high.

If you dont have a AGOIA or AROIA, Id stick with KR7A and a more conservative overclock of around 150 FSB.

AFAIK, both motherboards overclock and perform similarly, as a KT333 motherboard isn't really any better than a good KT266a motherboard (ie Abit KR7A and Epox 8KHA+).

thus, aside from RAID on the Epox, there is no reason to spend +$50 on the 8K3A+ motherboard over the Abit KR7A.

btw: why +$50? the Epox board should have been no more than ~$34 more (ie $75 vs $107)
