Is it wise for a seller to leave positive feedback after paid?

By doing so, the seller is less likely to have positive feedback after completed a transaction with a bidder. I did in the beginning then I have to beg all my buyers to plz leave leave a positive as I have done so for fast paying and would appreciate the same for quick shipping. This is like over 2 weeks and they didn't seem to care afterward as long as their feedback looks good. Thought ebay encourages all seller to leave positive after paid, it is serously flaweded as you're only screwing yourself later when someone negs you unfairly. What if the bidder is unhappy after receiving it and decides to just nag you making you look like a bad ebayer?

logically all feedback should be left after every single aspect of the transaction has been completed, because you never know what might go wrong.

I got screwed in that respect about a year back. The guy kept insisting I leave feedback and he'd do the same - he then held my feedback hostage because he thought I hacked eBay and found out his maximum proxy bid, then used an alternate account that I hacked to drive up the maximum price.

Simply put - I leave feedback last. I don't care if you're the buyer or the seller - I've had it with dipsh!ts on eBay who don't know wtf they're doing.

so in sense, after being paid is not a complete transaction. I find very few sellers that give feedback after paid. Even a very good seller waits until the buyer recieves the item, is pleased, leave him first before leaving the bidder a positive say" fast payment, thanks!"

I have some buyers who think they deserve a positive after paid, very impatient. LOL, the faster your receive your item and leave a seller positive, the faster they get theirs which is not very important at all. As being a seller, having high feedback greatly help him/her to sell much better and more trust worthy to others who would otherwise ignore you without much good feedback.

When selling, I always wait until the buyer leaves me feedback first. If they don't, then I'll wait about 30 days after I KNOW they got their item and then leave positive feedback. But if they start bugging me w/ e-mails right away to leave feedback after they just paid, then usually I'll acquiesce.

Sure it might annoy the buyers, but as a seller you don't want to jump the gun and leave premature feedback, before the buyer even gets the item.

I never leave feedback until the item has arrived, and the buyer is satisfied. Usually they will leave feedback first. As a buyer, I leave feedback first.

That's right, even the most disgruntled seller can do is not leave a positive for disliking your comments about slow shipping etc. but 99 percent of them that appreciate their bidder just as much return the favor within 24 hrs. Many times, I'd left a positive as well in return from pleased buyer within minutes!
This is,
1: the buyers does not abuse the seller
2: the seller deserves a feedback for having done a good job rather then the bidder gets away with positive and off they goes...
3. some disgruntled bidder leaves a neg after seeing the seller has left them a positive and is wide opened for a neg without any penalty to the bidder.
