Is it weird to sleep (non sexually) with females who aren't your GF? (UPDATED)

First of all, my roommate isn't currently dating anyone and he is my friend, though not close friend. We have three beds in our single room dorm room because one of our roommates moved out.

My roommate recently had one of his female friends sleep over about 4 times in 1.5 weeks. For reasons I'm not going into, I know for a fact they aren't in a relationship. They slept in the same bed, even though there was an extra bed in the room. They seemed pretty close and looked like they could've cuddling. Obviously no sex, kissing, etc. since I was in the room the whole time.

Now, there's another chick who has slept over 3-4 nights in a row (I wasn't here for a night) who actually has a boyfriend. My roommate and this new girl are really good friends since they talk ALL the time on the phone. They also slept in the same bed in the same manner, though the first night my roommate slept on the 3rd bed.

Cliffs:
Roommate in dorm has 2 girls sleep over (at seperate times) who I know as a fact aren't dating him, one has boyfriend.
We have 1 extra bed, yet they sleep under the same blanket in his bed.
Possible cuddling occurs, but no kissing or anything else goes on as I am in the same room the whole time.

Do you think this is weird? I don't really mind since it doesn't really affect me that much that they are here, but I didn't think this was very normal to have girls over so often who aren't dating you (or having sex). Even my roommate last year had a girlfriend and she only slept over 2-3 times the entire year.

EDIT:
I can confirm that the first girl = cuddle buddy

Normally when I wake up, the girls are usually gone.
Today, I didn't go to my 9:30 morning lab because it was cancelled. I woke up about 10:45 and heared what could be described as slurping. I peeked over and they (him and the 2nd girl) were making out. Last night I remember her saying that she was going to set the alarm to 9:30. So, I'm assuming that they were going to wait until I went to class before doing anything. But since I didn't go they decided to just make out. Either way I woke up and got out of there real fast to give them some alone time so she could cheat on her BF.

There are two possible reasons for this.

1. Your roommate is gay
2. Your roommate is gay

After you fall asleep:

1) candles are lit
2) champagne is poured
3) Wild Sex party ensues!!

Does he also go shopping with them to stores like Victoria's Secret? Maybe they're spooning and you can't tell? You can always ask him since he's your friend...

He's either gay or has some brilliant multi-part strategy. Either way, he's sleeping with chicks, he's doing something right.

One of my suitmates did the same thing, it confused the sh1t out of all of us...

But then he starting sleeping with all of them so it turned out alright. Moral of the story is they are/will be having sex while you're asleep. Enjoy

and if you are lucky, they won't do it on YOUR bed while you go out to get some milk because you've been craving a good custard pudding for like a week and then you come home and your all OMG WTF!?! and you leave but now you always remember what happenied where you like to sleep and now you don't sleep as restfully as you used to.

That's not obvious at all. I've gone to town with a couple girls in the presence of a sleeping roommate. It's not terribly difficult to remain quiet.

Hmmm....could very well be. Yeah it'd be kinda hard (at least for me) to just "sleep" with the chick without some banging going on. She'd be waking up with a boner in her back.

And FYI, you *think* they're not having sex just because you're in the room. I know people who've bumped uglies while their clueless roommates were in the same dorm room.

If your certainty of their lack of kissing/sexing is based on your presence, then I think you might just be unaware of what's going on.

Either he is gay, or he is interested.

Yes, it is weird.

**EDIT**
BTW, the guy is barking up the wrong tree if he is cuddling with two girls in his bed. They probably see him as just a friend and harmless. Chances are he either is 1) gay or 2) wants something more. He either needs to pursue one of the girls (hopefully not the girl with an SO already), and try, and possibly fail, or be forever stuck in the friend zone with these girls using him as an emotional punching bag when things get rough in other relationships. If he is okay with being just the friend and nice guy -- props to him (but the cuddling and such is probably an indication of something more in which I doubt with the certain circumstance can lead to anything but heartache). With my friends who are girls, I don't mind listening to them and being there for them to a point (I am just that type of person), but I would never get physical with them (cuddle and such). That is just asking for trouble and is not wise IMO.

I mean come on -- would you cuddle with your sister? <shudders> That would be freaking McNasty. ;) :p

Which reminds me, I was on a flight from NY to Japan and after a few hours and gotten to know the girl sitting next to me, we basically just cuddle and kiss during the flight.

Never seen her afterwards.

Maybe you're not taking the hint... GTFO!!!!

Just kidding, kinda...

I've done this when I was stuck in the "friend zone". Do your buddy a favor, and "go for a walk". and leave some booze. :)
