i guess he means proggies or tools

Agreed, and the answer is no

The windows xp install is more or less the same regardless of how large your HD is and it doesnt give you options to choose which packages during the install.

Does the amount of cruft Windows XP installs on your system depend on the size of your hard drive?

Sounded pretty straight forward to me. But, Ive learned to speak several dialects of English: Hick, Redneck, Yuppie, and idiot.
