Yes, it is true. I went into the service at 18 years old, @ 6' 1". When I got out, I was 6' 3", which is my present height.

yup, I just turned 21 and I'm going through a growth spurt right now. Gotta buy new clothes. 6'1" here I come!

Yes your second growth spurt comes at about 19~21

I'm 20 and am 5' 10". Been that way for years now. I actually like that hight, and don't want to grow anymore (being too tall is actually detrimental to being a good soccer player, which is the sport I love the play).

Oh, well.... It doesn't happen for everyone. Also, I have never liked being big and tall. I would have rather been short and small. Us big guys have trouble buying clothes.
Fortunately, I found a 5' 8" wife.

My hand will definitely grip a basketball and my shoes are 14-15m, depending on brand. I hate not being able to buy the brands / styles of shoes I like.

i'm 6'0" and kinda wish i was a teeny bit taller. My shoe size is 13 US, and i have a hard time finding the "cool shoes" that i like. I'm not to the point of having to special order shoes (although a guy @ work who wears 17s does), but i still don't get my first pick shoes.

whoa I guess I got it lucky because I'm about 6-6'1" and my shoe size is only 11 so I get to wear almost anything I want. Even though I no longer give a rats ass about all those new shoes on the market. Some of them just look plain stoopid (incorrect spelling used to emphasize the stupidity of their design) Now my arms on the other hand are really long. Finding shirts that fit just right is a biotch. Same with jeans, always difficult to find size 31 by 34 jeans.

But growth spurts suck. They hurt like hell, or in my case they do.
