Is it true that nForce 4 has compatibility issues with Raptor WD740?

No onboard controller supports TCQ. Is that an incompatibility? I guess so. Won't cause any problems though.

I heard rumors about possible data-corruption occuring on SATA drives on NF4 boards, after enabled the NCQ option in the NV IDE platform drivers. Just rumors though, no hard data, so take that with a grain of salt. It could have just as easily been a bug in the still-early NV SATA/IDE drivers, they've had data-corruption bugs before in the past, once when they were first introduced, in fact. (Or it could have even just been people that were OC'ing their A64 rigs, etc. and encountering memory instability, which the "Prime95 unstable" problem seemingly relates too as well.)

nForce 4 supports NCQ, while the Raptor supports TCQ. They aren't the same thing. Enabling NCQ when you don't have an NCQ capable drive shouldn't do anything as it won't work without a compatible drive. That's not to imply the nForce isn't corrupting data as VirtualLarry indicates above, but it's not because of the Raptor.
