ps2 looks like crap no matter 😛 nah im just kidding but xbox360 looks really kick butt in hdtv 720p or 1080i. You will be happy if you get a 360 or ps3 later on with the plasma.

Generally, any SD source looks 'okay' at best on a very good HDTV, at least compared to HD content. Watching it on a good HDTV or computer monitor shows every flaw, jaggy, and blurry texture in excruciatingly sharp detail (just like SDTV looks like blurry crap next to real HD feeds).

A PS2/Gamecube/XBox with non-HD games will look the same as any 480i or 480p source. The handful of XBox games that support 1080i or 720p will look as good as a 1080i or 720p source.

The XBox360 should look significantly better, since all the games can output at 1080i, and most also support 720p (although there are some questions about what resolution they 'really' render at internally). And it's got much better graphics hardware than the other consoles, so the textures, etc. are better even at the 'same' resolution.
