Is it true that EA is retooling CC:Generals so that Americans are now fighting the Iraqis?

Heard it today on the radio, anyone know for sure if they are doing it? Damn, the game is already so much like what's happening now (except for the chinese).

I heard that on the radio this morning too. Were you by chance listening to the Bob & Tom morning show? ;)

With the first mission of the US side already set in Baghdad, it'd be hard to get much closer to how things are and still claim it has nothing to do w/ reality, I think.

I'm not sure, I'm in Champaign and the radio is set to some number between 96 and 100 (I don't pay attention to what station I wake up to). One of the changes they were mentioning what the the basic infantry unit would be changed to the 101 Airborne (no sure about the number) would be fighting the Republican guard. Talk about a company capitalizing on the recent events. :Q

Was probably Bob & Tom (especially if they kept talking about a paper mache shark ;)). They also said EA had this in the works before the war even started.

I dunno, do they play songs? I think they announced it during a news break, that is why I'm searching yahoo news right now, but haven't found anything yet.

Are they trying to make it the shortest game ever? Or is the just the scenario you get if you set it on 'easiest' difficulty?

Sounds more like a mod via rules.ini, there's so many units hidden in there, take the GLA boat for example, that seems pretty cool to play with.

Can't find a link, but I remember reading something like this about a month ago (hopefully not on April 1 ;) )... I think EA has a few *Operation Iraqi Freedom* themed games coming out.
