For somebody to know when the general time when the sun goes down is.

Our exchange student's friend calls and says,

Friend: is she home?
Brother: No, she's out horseback riding.
Friend: When will she be back?
Me: Just after sundown.
Friend: What time is that?
Me: Umm, when the sun goes down, usually around 8:40pm in the summer time.
Friend: oh ok, i just didn't know when the sun goes down, THanks, bye.

Too bad this friend is hot and she has such a vacant cranium.

Haha, yep, its always like, 5 pm, then 11pm, sometimes it just doesn't even come up.

No, it is prettty constant within two hours the whole year.
