Is it time to upgrade yet

this what I am considering :

AMD64 SKT939 3000+
GA-K8NXP-SLI
2 x GV-NX66T128D
480W ANTEC TRUE BLUE PSU
4 x PATA TO SATA ADAPTER

any changes that anybody can reccomend?

With Microsoft looking to finally getting around to a functional release of the XP-64 OpSys with thew 'Drivers' this coming summer,
it might be worth the step up into the 64 Bit world - should be another performance jump waiting to happen.

Price-wise the 754 pin AMD's are offering more bargains like this AMD-64 @ 3000+

which would fly in One of These K8V-X

I am finally getting around to my own update to 64 Bit, which I have been putting off for
over a year - just to let the technology evolve a bit more, before I make too hasty and emotional of a choice.

I am rebuilding now - started last night stuffing an AMD-64 939 pin XP3500+
(waited the price down from over $ 500)

and mating it with an Abit MoBo I have this thing for outrageous speed & gagetry.

I'm not to worried about price because I work in a retail computer store, so i can do a bit of wheeling and dealing as far as prices go, but I don't want to blow my budget which is around au$1500

I concur with that - however I did buy my Motherboard from Monarch - they had the best pricing when I placed the order.
All my other stuff came from ZipZoom this time - what with NewEgg adding freight to everything these days.
