recently, i have been having problems with windows not booting up fully, and also troubles during windows installations stopping. i ran chkdsk, and got this log:

would you say its time to rma the raptor?
 
Maybe.... Go out to WD's site and download their diagnostic tool for the drive. Run it, it should tell you more.

Also... Backup now to be on the safe side.

i did run it and said no errors found
on both the quick and extended tests.

do you know if the k8v by asus and certain via sata drivers can cause data corruption?
 
I just checked your rig. I tried the OCZ EL memory, and my K8V didn;t want to run well at all with that. It's allways possible that you have a memory problem corrupting the data. Try running memtest (I couldn;t get it to run on mine using the boot image though). And also try at stock speed.
