Is it the Mobo, CPU, or drivers

Asking here to avoid the CPU forum...

Upgraded my HTPC from a Llano 3850 to a Trinity 5800k. Llano system was stable outside of AMD's HDMI resume issues. Same RAM (Memtested OK), and same PS (tried with another also).

The 5800k is at stock and ran p95 without issue. Using Media Center for LIve HD TV however, I get random crashes - either a reboot or a hard lock where the image freezes and the HDMI audio outputs garbled noises at max volume.

Motherboard is running latest stable BIOS. Gigabyte GA-F2A85XM-D3H. Cat 13.1. Fresh Win7 install, patched.

Ideas?

That is video card issue. However it can be a hot overclocked CPU, or RAM.

Can you go to your BIOS and reset to system defaults. Then try. Also check to make sure the video cards fan is spinning. Go with WHQL cats which you are. let us know,
