It is 12:34PM whee I am (CST)...
Is it still worth it to go to some stores and scavenge?

I'm hoping they may still have hard drives or the cheap 17" flat panels?

Hard drives/vid cards? maybe. flat panels? hell no. In fact DO NOT go to Best buy right now if your life depended on it. There is NOTHING good left.. Try Shopko/Target/etc..

Judging by how long the line was at the Best Buy I was at, I probably wouldn't even bother at this point. There had to be in excess of 500 people there before the store even opened, and this wasn't even the busiest one in town.

Most of the sales ended at 11AM. Even if you find the products you wanted, they're not on sale anymore at most stores!

Some BF sales go from 5AM - 10PM except for the door busters.

BB and CC has some stuff left, we'll probablly go there tonight.

You snooze, you lose.

we left at 2 pm and just got home, crowds were moderate and most of the stores had the stuff from the ads we had on our lists. toysRus was out of the GBA games we wanted, otherwise we did fine

walmart had big stacks of those TVs (non-door busters) left

Campbell Fry's was a zoo as usual. I looked at HDD deals, but none were great, especially compared to what you can get in just a week of monitoring HotDeals.

I did grab a high-powered halogen flashlight (2 mil. candlelights - it's a freaking monster) for my night-time photography. Not on sale, but still, cheaper than elsewhere.

i was the first in my town, made the news. me and my friends went at 3:30pm thursday. we grilled out all day and even cooked eggs and sausage at 2am. had guitars, frisbess and DS's. i had a blast and it didn't even seem like 14+ hours.

got the toshiba lap teezie, $189 desktop among other things.

we're making it an annual event, it was a lot more fun probably due to the fact that i had friends with me.
