Is it still possible to mod a DFI Ultra-D?

I just purchased a DFI Ultra-D motherboard from Monarch Computers, and I was wondering if the mod was still possible? I read that nVidia would be changing the way they manufacture the chipset so as to prevent modification--has that gone into effect yet? Is there any way to check without removing the northbridge heatsink, so I don't waste my time if it's not possible?

gotta take the heatsink off to find out. I cant imagine why youd want to do it unless a friend of yours oddly bought a DFI sli board and wont use the sli clip
