Some of this info was taken from FW...

Samsung 955DF 19" Flat CRT

here

$299.99 from BB $247.93 from Compusa
~$243 after PM
~$163 after $50 & $30 MIR

If you have the 10% off coupon for this weekend buy it on Friday before the one rebate expires and you get it for ~ $139
Use your $30 off coupon for the BB mess up and it comes out to ~ $109 :)

Depends on 2 things - BB advertises the 2 rebates however each says you need the original UPC. I would imagine that they would both be valid though if they are advertised on BB

Also I am not sure if the 10% coupon will work on monitors - I am going to argue it as "computer accessories"

Well, juding by some of the responses the 10% will probably not work. I still think this is a good deal at $163 no? An excellent deal if you were one of the lucky ones with the $30 coupon.

Bump for a nice monitor, but I think that it's unlikely this will all fall together. There's been another thread on thissubject where some have posted that BB has already said the 10% doesn't apply to monitors.

I went to BB yesterday. They don't consider a monitor a Computer Accessory.
If it's not listed in the 10% off coupon, you can't use it for that item.......

Excuse me if I've missed something, it looks like a great deal and all, but the $30 coupon is a digital coupon, and how can pricematch via the web? If you go to a store you're not able to use your $30 coupon correct?

Good point... I dont have a coupon so I didnt think about that. But I still think at $163 this is still a good buy.

Question about the two rebates. Has anyone figured out on how exactly to do it since they both require original UPC. Perhap send both of the rebate forms together might have a chance of working?

Are you sure the rebates will work? After all they go to the same address in New Rochelle, NY, and both require the original UPC.

Just got one from BB, Union, NJ. 0.20mm superfine pitch (H) stated in the face. $299-%110 PM (with compusa $247.93) =217.93 before any rebate. If only one rebate ($50) goes through, then final will be 167.93, not bad for a flat screen. If both rebates go though, that will be super!!! Act fast, don't need to wait for any discount for this monitor, only one left in the store after I bought mine.

only $50 rebate left at website. And also just that rebate came with my receipt. So I guess I can only make it down to $167 AR, not bad though.

Just some notes:

The monitor at local BB is AQ19JSBL
The same monitor at CompUSA is $299
The CompUSA model PG19JSBL is older discontinued model for $247

Even with no coupon, this monitor is worth it's weight in gold (ok, maybe not that much...). I bought one of these about 10 months ago, loved it so much I went back and picked up a 2nd for my other PC to replace the NEC I had on it before. Nothing bad to say about this monitor except the refresh rates could be a little higher, but even those are fine for most people, including me.

wait a sec...
BB price = 299
CUSA price = 247.93
difference = 51.07
10% of diff = 5.11

so BB matches CUSA price @ 247.93... then gives u 10% of the difference... which would make the total
247.93 - 5.11 = 242.82 (plus tax)

wouldn't 242.82 (plus tax) be the price before any rebates? am i missing something here? i think i'll wait for a dell deal... free shipping and no tax.

Those bastards changed it. Now, I have no problem with things like changing an obvious pricing error, but changing the end dates on rebates? That's BULL. Screw them.

This is a great monitor, it's a got a huge tail end, not exactly ideal for lan partying, but nonetheless worth the money.

I got this 955DF monitor a few months back from gateway (before I started looking on this forum on regular basis). The total net cost for me was about $240 after that rebate. They seem to have a newer model of this monitor where the controls are up front instead of having it on a hydralic slide down tray (which is the one I have). I heard the picture on the newer model is supposely better then the older one but the slide down tray sure looks kewl :) At first, the center picture quality was very sharp but the edges and corners of the screen could be improved but then again mines was the older version. A little calibrating fixed it though. Unfortunately for me, I notice a dead pixel on my 955df :( I emailed samsung about it and they told me the monitor is allowed to have up to 5 dead pixels to be considered defective. 1 dead pixel is hardly noticable unless you really look for it but still...
Guess I'm just unlucky

spanky007, I just replyed your PM. And BB %110 PM the original price, at least to me. So $247-$30, I got $217 plus tax.
