I'm thinking about doing a similar thing, ripping all my DVD's (768) to hard drives. It'll be fun.
how do you know the publisher hasnt already done that and that you cant subscribe to it online, thus saving yourself years of pointless work?
I'm amazed at how you could keep a work like this for years.
meh, do 2 a day and you are done in a year.
True enough, I may start soon, but I could probably do four a year.

I really don't see the point...just stick the disk in when you want to watch it.
Video server sounds nice, til you have to build it
<==1200+ dvds amongst other shit.
I've done it before, it was awesome, all my DVD's streamed around the house, loved it. I'll do it again, just need some more storage space, buying some off my mate as we speak.
I'd rather do it myself.
lulz, storage is so cheap it's not funny. I have 16TB...
it's funny, the biggest obstacle to adding more storage is lack of space in my apartment
