He ended up getting probation, community service and some community service. Not much compared to what he was facing, but at the end of the day, firing him should have been punishment enough.

As someone has sutely said above, that isn't safe, but he's only on the low voltage communication lines at the bottom of the pole. The power lines are the ones on top, so he probably won't get shocked.

I was thinking the same thing. Fiberglass FTW! I just hope that cable is adequately tethered to the pole. Taking that fence to the midsection would 'Creep' him.
