Is it safe to use any 80mm case fan on Volcano 9+ HS?

I'm just curious if it is safe to use any case fan on a thermaltake volcano 9+ It seems that the 80 mm adda quietfan isn't cooling well enough. It's a barton 2500+ and it's running at about 44 C at idle. I've used thermal grease and I have 2 case fans as well. the Adda quiet fan seems to be running at about 2220 rpms. I have an Antec LED 80mm case fan that runs at 2600 rpms would it be safe to use since it has a 3 pin as well?
 
I've seen other posters that are doing exactly that with fairly decent results I guess. However, if you want dramatically better results you may have to switch to something with higher cfm.
