yes. the wall charger only determines the voltage the device will recieve, not the amperage. 1000mA is simply what the charger is rated for, that's not what it outputs to anything hooked to it.
You can plug a standart USB device to a charger and it should be OK.
However you should be aware you some devices would not be harm, but would really charge if they are not plugged to their original charger, or to a computer with their own software.
