Is it safe to use a charcoal grill on a wood deck?

Or are we supposed to use those gas grills instead? I like the charcoal grills because of the smokey barbarque favor it imparts on the food...

i dont see why not. How often would a coal even fall out or something? Never, and even then it wouldnt start a fire.

Don't you remember the BAD NEIGHBOR THREAD? Dude burned his deck. Then he burned his fence. Then he put up an American flag while standing on his SUV.

Could be you in the next video@!

Just make sure you keep the ash pan under the bottom of it. My parents have a few scorch marks in their deck from where a little ember fell onto the deck, but it was never anything enought to actually do much besides leave a black spot on the wood.
